WESCAR is going places, and so fast we need a timing clock to keep track. Well, it is official. The WESCAR racing league has purchased an AMB timing system to take care of lapcounting duties at each of the eight race events as it tours throughout the Province of BC during the 2004 race season. The season already looks to be a busy one with the potential of 20 cars consistently making every event and some events possibly having 25 drivers contending for the 3 podium positions. Hence, the new timing system. So who is going to operate the new lapcounter, this is yet to be determined, however, AMB experienced people are amongst the ranks of WESCAR teams? Will their heads pop up to take on the task, will a director be put in charge of the system. Is that a job of a director? All this will come to light as we move through the pre-season, I expect.
