Rain soaked the Terrace Speedway Saturday night delaying the WESCAR OKTire Challenge Series MacCarthy GM 100. The race was finaly run Sunday afternoon under broken threatening skies.

Brett Young sets the fast time of 17.79 on the moderately high banked oval with long straights and tight turns. Brett rreturns to a smiling pit crew confident they have captured fast time. They had!

The green flag drops with #49 Warren Bergman on the pole and #72 Dennis Adelman right beside him. On lap 5 the first of 3 caution flags fly as the #14 Ian Black taps the left rear corner of the #5 Bobby Williams as the #5 tries to pass on the high side in turn 3. #5 Williams is sent to the back of the string of cars as well as #14 because they were both involved in the incident that brought out the caution . On lap 6 #38 Lee Thomas takes the lead, he was running third when the caution came out so on the restart with #14 and #5 moved to the back #38 jumps out into the lead.

The pack of cars races in a tightly knit group clean and green until lap 68 when the second caution flag waves for debris on the track. On the restart #38 Thomas continues to hold the lead and tows the pack around the track until lap 85 when the # 94 Corey Price spins.

The race winds down with the of #38 Thomas holding the lead and takes the checkered flag to win the MacCarthy GM 100 repeating his accomplishments of 2002 winning the WESCAR 100 that year in Terrace as well.

Attrition only claimed 3 vehicles of the 16 car race card with #0 Brett Young out on lap 77. Mechanical problems plagued #55 Dave Reinhardt of Terrace and he finnaly retired on lap 82. #49 Warren Bergman with a borrowed motor from the #5 car retired early also with mechanical problems.
