Hot weather finally blessed the WESCAR OKTire Challenge series in Williams Lake B.C. Saturday. Clouds settled in later but no threatening storms or rain ensued. The #52 NAPA Autoparts Chev of Garnet Grimard grabbed the pole with a 16.539. Less than three tenths of a second separated the field of cars.

A 60% inversion from the Wescar Wheel being spun puts #92 GM Goodwrench Gary McCarthy Monte Carlo on the pole with #38 Lucas Oils Lee Thomas outside on the front row. Gary McCarthy in his Goodwrench Chev took the green flag and held the lead until late in the race when one of the few caution flags flew. A couple of laps after the restart the #23 Fountain Tire Peter Ernst Chev passed #92 on the outside of turn 2 and muscled off into the lead.

The race completed with the #23 Fountain Tire Peter Ernst Chevy taking the checkered flag winning the Kumho OKTire 100 Feature with #92GM GOODWRENCH Gary McCarthy Chevy in second and #27 Paint Depot Arnie Kunka Chevy collecting third.
