Re: Dyno work on pro top line factory replacement cylinder heads part # 223 7694 167


The dyno test on January 10th, 2004 at Dynamic Performance in Quesnel yielded an 8 hp average gain between the pro top line head and the factory wescar legal heads. The average was taken between 4500 and 6000 rpm and all of the testing was done on the same day by Garnet Grimard, Kendall Thomas, Earl Thomas, and Sandy and Rod from Dyn performance. The test was recorded on video tape for later reference. 

After reviewing the results we suggest that we integrate these cylinder heads into our series this year for the teams that are needing to build heads and would adopt these as the offical Wescar head for 2005 season. Wescar board of directors should be able to add weight penalties to the cars with these cylinder heads for the 2004 season if the cars with them on show themselves to be domanant.

We also suggest that during the tech inspection of the motor for sealing, the heads be cc' d for combustion chamber size and volume of two intake and two exhaust ports be randomly checked and recorded.

In regards to the engine sealing and tech, we are recomending that all engines be teched by Wescar tech officals only. Contact Pat McCarville in Prince George, Brian Bettles in Williams Lake, or Ernie Perkins in Terrace.
